The Vilawatt Project receives a new european recognition and will be replicated in three European cities
The Vilawatt Project has been chosen to lead the innovative project transfer network promoted by URBACT and Urban Innovative Actions (UIA), and will be replicated in Trikala (Greece), Seraing (Belgium) and Nagykanizsa (Hungary) during the next two years.
The project, which was selected by the UIA in 2016 for its innovative and participatory nature and distinguished in 2020 as one of the 5 best EU projects in the RegioStars Awards, receives a new recognition for its successful implementation and good practices. As highlighted by URBACT, the success of VILAWATT lies in the deployment of a complex and highly innovative governance structure and its instruments to promote the energy transition, in a very short period of implementation.
